You should definitely check out Italica, the Roman town about 20-30 mins out of Sevilla. It can be really, really hot in the summer but if you bring water, you'll be fine. It's just very cool to see ruins from that long ago (including an ampitheater, tunnels, etc).

Also, some of the nicer beach cities to visit are Cadiz and Huelva. Cadiz is (I think) the oldest "city" in Europe and has gorgeous beaches. It's just about an hour long trip by bus that you can catch out of the main bus station in Sevilla. Have fun!

Ive been to Huelva and its ok ,but not anymore. If Huelva is on your way its worth a visit , but i would have gone out of my way to go there.

Thanks so much-Italica sounds excellent, and Cadiz, too. I will look forward to it.
