Flying on that EgyptAir plane felt more like a blind taxi driver on a high way! We came on friday night and on Saturday went around the city, then on the Sunday we rented a scooter an made a trip to Sesimbra, Sentubal and came back across the Bridge of Vasco de Gama, on Moday we went west to Cascais,Cabo da Roca and Sintra.Monday night was briliant in a fado pub!!

Returning to the place where my father spent his summers as a child has proven to be a magical experiece. The island is small and the inhabitants have been living there for generations and greet each other in the streets. On the hilltops there is a beautiful breeze especially as the sun prepares to set. There are wild fruit trees everywhere and kittens scampering in people's flower gardens. At night the island is alive and families and friends gather in the center to drink, gossip and dance.
