Graduating in May I headed to the Caribbean, then to Spain and Denmark, then the southern US, then Greece, followed by Turkey and Cyprus, then Greece again, and finally the central US.

Istanbul was a very last minute thing - we found out from someone in
Varna that we were only allowed to stay in Bulgaria for 30 consecutive
days, and we were on the 29th, so we had to make a quick run away and
head over the border! The only problem was, we only found out
about three hours…

Last year's 'long Eid' fell just before the weekend so we decided to go on a short trip. Turkey came to mind and we immediately booked flights and accommodations even before getting a visa lol It was such a fun experience, noting that the temperature was wayyy too cold for a tropic girl that I am :-D Went to visit The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace; did the Bhosphorous tour; went up to Camlica; experienced snow in Bursa and a few more fun stuffs that's worth the keep :-)

We checked into the Ararat Hotel in the Sultanahmet District of Istanbul. Our windows opened onto the Blue Mosque, intensely lit at night with the Muslim call to prayer broadcast from speakers mounted on its minarets. Clicking on the photo will activate the audio from YouTube. It was very exciting.…
