Isle of Mann Vacation Guide

The Isle of Man is a small Island situated between Ireland and the UK in the Irish Sea. It is much bigger than one would imagine with a population of around 80,000+. You can easily reach the island by ferry within a few hours from England, Wales, Ireland, or Scotland. There are also some airports that will fly to the island.
The largest town, capital, and main port on the island is Douglas. You will find a variety of restaurants, hotels and B&Bs along the promenade. Most places can be pre-booked on the internet or by telephone. The transportation system is easy to use and fun. There are buses that run on a timely schedule from town to town, but you can also use their steam train or electric train to reach your destination.
The Isle of Man offers a variety of activities and sites for the whole family. There are museums, a cat sanctuary, a working water wheel, and an animal park. There is also a good bit of shopping in Douglas. If you are lucky enough to be able to rent a car, you will be able to cover much more ground in a shorter period of time.
