If you want adventure + nature + beach, then go to Coron, Palawan. While in Coron, we had lots of activities and they are:

* Island hopping (Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, Siete Pecados, Kalumbuyan Island and Lusong Wreck). The adventure part here was, when we were in Twin Lagoon. While at the first lagoon, in order to go to the other lagoon, you need to dive for about 2 meters. In Lusong Wreck, you got a chance to see some ship wrecks during the World War 2. At the Kalumbuyan Island, it's time for snorkling. Coron has beautiful coral reefs and lot of fishes too.

* Climb Mt. Tapyas. It has 796 steps. At the top of Mt. Tapyas was a huge steel cross. It is better if you climb up the mountain while there was no sunrise yet.

* Relaxation time at Maquinit Hot Spring.

We stayed at Darayonan Lodge. We were 20 in the group. Cost per head was 5,000 Php which includes accommodation for 3 days and 2 nights, complete set of meal (breakfast, snacks, lunch, snacks, dinner) and the package tour.

While in Manila, take a domestic flight going to Coron (Busuanga). Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific are some of the airlines offering travels to that place. We stayed at Darayonan Lodge, it looks like a guest house. For further inquiries or some tips, we could have a chat, add me up, It's a pleasure for me to assist other travellers like you.

Explore the islands of Coron and experience nature in the Philippines at its best.

If you are the snorkel buff, or the island hopper, visit Coron any time of the year. Meet up with a local bangkero (Toto : 09077468955), pack up some lunch because this is going to be a whole day affair, lots of mineral water, and of course, do not forget your snorkeling gear.

Do not miss Kayangan Lake and its majestic rock formations. Check out the shipwreck ruins near Siete Pecados. According to legend, Siete Pecados are the 7 daughters of the Datu (King) of the Islands who drowned when they went swimming. The Datu asked the Gods for something that will honor his daughters. One day, 7 islands rose from the sea, purportedly representing the Datu's 7 daughters. Thus, Siete Pecados.

Do not forget to bring 100Php bills. Each island has an entrance fee of Php 100.00 which goes to the maintenance of the islands managed by the Tagbanua tribes.

A tip, it is best to spend an overnight stay in the farthest island which is Malcapuya. It is reported to be the most beautiful of the islands, with its white powdery sand and fantastic clean waters. It is approximately 4 hours from the main poblacion of Coron so to save time and maximize your trip, an overnight stay would be advisable. This would allow you more to explore the caves and beaches nearby to your heart's content.

The cost would differ depending on no. of persons and what kind of room you will choose. try checking out Coron Village Lodge. They have good deals and tour packages which can be easy on the pocket. For 2 pax in 1 room, last year's rates was at P900/ night. Of course it would be best to come in a group for easy budgeting.
