Cancun was the first destination. Too much chaos for me. The surrounding islands were fantastic and I fell in love with the water once again.

From February 1st to 15th, I traveled all over the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. The Mayan Riviera runs along the Mexican-Caribbean coastline and includes known cities as Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum. The trip involved snorkeling with sea turtles, scuba diving, seeing the Mayan Ruins and cenotes, and swimming with dolphins. Overall a great two week vacation!

Isla Mujeres, Mexico -› Cuba -› …
I left the US with a roundtrip ticket out of Cancun on a 3 week trip. I ended up on a five week trip, flying home from Mexico City with a flight to Cuba and more bus rides than I can count thru Central America. I did not want to come home when I didddd, but life called. I hiked volcanoes, 3 sets of mayan ruins, was surrounded by dolphins, went to Fidel Castro and Che Guevara's child hood homes, learned to Salsa, met lifelong friends and so many other things I don't have time or room to list.
