Isla Margarita is perfect as it is in the carribeen but owned by Venezuela so it gets the best of both, there is also no stormy season, although there is a wet season i visited during then and only saw rain 2 out of 14 days and that was only in the morning.
It is perfect destination to experience South American culture as well and being able to visit other carribeen islands.
