Isla Margarita Vacation Guide
Margarita Island (Spanish: Isla Margarita or Isla de Margarita) is the largest island of the Nueva Esparta state in Venezuela. The state also contains two other smaller islands: Coche and Cubagua. The capital is La Asunción. The currency is the Venezuelan Bolivar but the US Dollar, Euro and British Pound are accepted in a number of shops.
Isla Margarita is perfect as it is in the Caribbean but owned by Venezuela so it gets the best of both. There is also no stormy season, although there is a wet season; i visited during then and only saw rain 2 out of 14 days and that was only in the morning.
It is perfect destination to experience South American culture as well and being able to visit other carribeen islands.
