Isla Magica Sevilla Reviews
Aug 02, 2006
The Isla Magica is the amusement park located here. It was a great experience especially for a break from sightseeing. The general theme is one of pirates and they have many actors who perform during the day to further this including a who pirate fight scene. Being in Spain this is all in Spanish so children may not get the humor if they do not speak the language. The stunts are great though.
In the park there are numerous rides and a lot of them designed just for younger children. There is only one major rollercoaster, the Jaguar, but it's great. Additionally they have three water rides, the kind where you ride in a boat of some kind and get slightly wet, not like a water park ride. They have three 'movie' theaters in the park. One, is a laser type show, another is what they called a 4D show where things will happen to you as you're watching through 3D glasses. It was great. The final was a IMAX style show where the screen was so big that you felt like you were actually there. I was impressed by this show especially.
There are numerous performances throughout the park all though the day and while I typically do not attend those I did go to one of them and was suprised at how great it was. I really enjoyed it.
The cost is around 25€ for a full day but if you enter after 5pm then you can pay just 16€. The park is only open until 11p or 12p depending on the day of the week but I found that going on a Wednesday, in the afternoon, I didn't wait in many lines and was able to see the whole park at a relaxing pace. If you have children give yourself more time because there are more rides available to them.
