We're here and having a lovely time!   The trip over was not so great.  I'm hoping that the woman in front of me who insisted on having her seat fully reclined for the entire trip (effectively trapping me) gets a lousy hotel on a busy street with insufficient pillows.  :)   …

Dublin is a real nice place, with friendly people. Too bad that the alcohol and spirits are very expensive. But, you can eat in several restaurants for very reasonable prices and the quality is very good. And it's not all about Guiness... Don't forget to visit the South Coast (half an hour by train). Kilenny, Bono's place is an amazing village at the Coast line. (look at the pictures).

As the first weekend away after moving to Paris, Dublin was a treat.  It was cloudy and drizzly as expected, which enhanced the experience as we could better appreciate the comfort food at Gallagher's Boxty House as well as all the brightly colored doors.  A visit to the Book of Kells is …
