I've come to the conclusion that perhaps I should begin packing a week or so in advance in order to make sure that I am not running around and staying up until all hours of the night the week I'm scheduled to leave the country:) I'm not quite sure as to what to pack considering I have a plethora of ideas as to how to spend my time in Buenos Aires/Argentina. I've also lost a feel as to what 70/75 degrees F feels like as it has been below zero for the majority of the winter.. and continues to b...

Iowa at last. I got back just in time for my college roommate's wedding and a myriad of family and friend gatherings. This will be the longest I've stayed at my parents' house since college holidays. As I pack my belongings into storage, the realization of my homelessness finally sets in. Some might view the fact that, at age 27, everything I own can still fit into a small closet as a great failure. I'm currently in the Buddhist mindset where I'd be disappointed if it didn't.

It seemed as though I had been on hiatus from skiing, and in reality, I had! For the past six years, I had left skiing in the dust in exchange for trips overseas:) It lay by the wayside pleading for me to take it back, hoping that I would once again see the light and realize how much I loved flying down the runs! Although it took 6 years, I found myself in a van headed down an icy road wondering what I had gotten myself into.
On Wednesday we had heard that storms were brewing across the Mid...

Dad & I left this morning at 11am to embark on our road trip. We were very excited!! As we went along everything was fine. We stopped at my Grandma's house to see her but she was gone. We continued to Hamburg, IA to begin our journey on the Loess Hills Scenic Byway....lets just say that it SHOULD be named LOST Hills Scenic Byway. Ay yi yi. We got lost not twice, but THREE times. Yes we had an atlas, but some of the highways in Iowa are named L34...so finding a street that's named that but...

I guess traveling has always been a part of my life, since I took my first flight from Toronto to New York at the age of 3 months. Now it is my passion. Here are my travels done in the last 7 years, most it done in the last year and a half. Ill put up some more pictures when I get back to my apartment in Iowa City, due to the fact I have a slow internet connection here at work.

It started innocently enough; I visited Juneau, Alaska in June 1993 and explored the State Capitol building. A few months later, It was Montgomery, Alabama's. In the course of time, it became a hobby. Near the end it became a bit of an obsession. Then, in August of 2006, I visited my 50th US State Capitol building in Pierre, SD. (Yeh!)
Yes, I know, I'm a geography nerd....

There is a German village near here. There are a couple German restaurants near the interstate but I wouldn't recommend them. I was a little disappointed with the food and the service--not exactly what I would call authentic.

Drove on from Wall, and detoured south down I-29 to Sioux City, IAPassed half an hour with former neighbors from Tacoma. They had lived next door to a niece, and the next building from me.Two years ago. Then on to a motel for the night.Until later.
