Iona Hostel Reviews

Mar 29, 2007
This is probably the only hostel on Iona, and probably the least expensive place to stay on the island. It's great as far as hostels go though. It's about a 20 minute walk from where the ferry drops you off (no cars allowed on the island), which is pleasant and easy if you've got decent weather. The location is completely secluded, and sheep will inevitable be grazing just underneath your bedroom window. It's located right at the end of the island too, so views out to the shore and sea, which is just gorgeous. The hostel is super environmentally-friendly too, which I liked. As such, it is a *tad* more expensive than some other hostels, but worth it if you want to support them. The rooms are no frills and fairly tiny, but perfectly clean and well-kept. The staff was nice too....got a tour from one of the girls and everything.
