The International Marketplace is a nice little international "flea market" so to speak located in the heart of Waikiki. You can acccess it from Kuhio Street or from Kalakaua Avenue. It runs between these two streets.

There are tons of booths lined up in this "alley" that is covered by Banyan trees. Vendors sell the all kinds of souvenir type things. Most things are pretty cheap, at least cheaper than the other places in Waikiki. The one downside of this place is that once you look through five or six booths you have seen everything because they all sell the same things. You really have to look hard to find the unique things like the handmade wooden Tiki gods that are located all the way in the back of the marketplace. There are also some places to eat at the food court here and a bar as well.

If you are visiting, it is a nice place to look around for cheaper souvenirs. The jewelry you find there is great and really cheap. They have the typically touristy things here as well. It is always crowded on the weekends. The best time to go is during the daytime through the week. Keep in mind that it is open pretty late if you want something to do later in the evening.

No charge to browse and fairly cheap to buy :)
