With Mexico city's airport being the biggest one in the whole country, it has got some serious traffic both by air and land. There is an option to avoid this, you can fly for a cheaper price to the Toluca airport and then get one of the buses that for $70 pesos drives you to a set point in the mexico city.

Interjet is the airline I used for my last trip to mexico city and I was gladly surprised with it, quite good. The buses have set times for depart, but they usually are set according to the arriving flight by the airline. The only possible problem is that they can only fit about 12 passengers per bus, however there's a bus for each destination.

Also there is the possibility that if you're not documenting any luggage, you can print your boarding passes directly from their site up to 48 hours before the flight.

The set destinations from the buses (to a from the airport) are:

*Centro Comercial Antara

*Stadia Suites in Santa Fe

* Holiday Inn Express World Trade Center
