Modern Contemporary Hotel Sep 07, 2009
I've stayed in this hotel a couple of times now (weekends) and I must say this hotel is pretty good. From the spacious, elegant lobby when you enter the hotel, to the all-smiles staff who are always more than happy to assist. The hotel is interconnected to the mall (Festival Centre) which is quite convenient for guests staying in the hotel, especially during summer months when the temperature outside rises to up to 50 degrees C! I kid you not, it gets 'that' hot in Dubai. They have a few restaurants and cafes. For moe choices, head out to the mall. I guess the only sort of a downer for ICH DFC is that it is located in Festival City and is quite far from the beaches. But that can be overlooked if you're a golf-person because there's Four Seasons Golf Club just around the corner. I'd gladly recommend this hotel for those who love to enjoy their time in Dubai.

Luxury next to the Dubai Creek Apr 27, 2008
The Intercontinental @ Festival City is a great hotel. Usually I dont stay in luxury hotels, but this was a company sponsored trip and I did not have to worry about money.
The hotel is only a short drive from the airport and is part of the Festival City Development. In 2008 there was still a lot of construction going on around the hotel, but the main Mall plus an Ikea store were already finished. The hotel itself was only opened recently and everything still looked brand new. The hotel offered all the amenities, that can be expected from a hotel in this category. I particularly liked the modern room design. The always smiling and very friendly staff complemented my stay at the Intercontinental. A great experience, but too pricy to pay out of my own pocket.
