In the center of all of the shopping action Mar 13, 2011
Intercontinental Hotel Bangkok is right in the middle of all the key shopping malls, all within walking distance. It is also right next to the metro, which makes it easy for you to take the train to the weekend market as well.

Great service and facilities! The Italian restaurant next to the hotel is also great!

The Luxury Bangkok Has to Offer Feb 15, 2010
Whether you are in Bangkok for business or pleasure, if you are looking for the most comfortable and convenient hotel in the city, the Intercontinental Bangkok will meet all your expectations in a luxury 5-star hotel.

Located in one of the busiest sections of Bangkok, the hotel's close proximity to both the highway and the BTS skytrain makes community a breeze. Within walking distance are numerous attractions, including Siam Discovery, Central World, and MBK shopping centers.

For the days that you wish to relax, expect the Intercontinental to spoil you. The hotel boasts a huge breakfast buffet as well as a large lunch/dinner menu. A rooftop pool will give you one of the best views of Bangkok, or simply a place to relax. If keeping fit is important to you, there is a fully stocked gym complete with a helpful trainer. Finally, the hotel also offers massages for when you are really looking to unwind.

The rooms themselves are reason enough to stay in this hotel. Because of their large size, you can easily spread out and feel at home. The hotel does a great job providing pretty much everything you could want or need in the room. The beds are probably the most comfortable I have EVER slept on in my life. Here is a warning-you will not want to get out. Probably my favorite part of the rooms is the amazing view. Just opening your blinds in the morning and looking out the window is a wonderful way to start the day.

To be honest to prospective guests, the Intercontinental is not a hotel for travelers on a budget. That being said, you definitely get what you pay for. My only possible complaint is that the room makes you a bit too dependable on room service where food is concerned. There is no microwave and the mini-fridge is too stocked to keep your own in it. In addition, I felt that the hotel skimped out on the tea bags and instant coffee that they provide in the room. I would have enjoyed having a coffee maker to brew my own fresh coffee.
