Inn at the Market Seattle Reviews
Efficient staff and good location Oct 13, 2012
Stayed here with my partner for 2 nights, though it didn't cost us the $200/night indicated on this site - I think we got it for around 90/night with a view of the ocean on a sale, and that is a fair price for what you get.
The hotel was fast and efficient at checking us in and out, our rooms were outstandingly clean and the location was superb. Situated next to the Pike place market, walk to major attractions - or better yet, ride the S.L.U.T. hehe.
We liked buying fresh produce in the mornings in the market, blueberries, strawberries, apples, grapes, pomegranate to name a few faves. If you walk along the wharf you see lots of German and Russian bakeries, they were always packed with business and looked like cheap, good eats. There are some typical kind of steak houses towards the left end of the wharf that specialise in frying anything and everything - a good cheap eat for those on a budget, wanting to try true American food. For 2 of us to share 3 dishes and have a beer each, it set us back about $17 with a tip.
We took cabs between the hotel and airport, but I wouldn't recommend this unless there's 3-4 of you and you can split the 50-60 dollar bill. Also, taxi drivers in Seattle seemed to be notoriously surly, rude, and dodgy compared to other places, so if you can take the S.L.U.T, train or bus, they're best avoided.
Hot eat: for some truly epic PHO, go to the little Vietnamese place on Cherry St, between 3rd st and 4th st. Very filling, very cheap, some of the best I've had anywhere in the world.
