Inn-Daewon Guest house Seoul Reviews
Nice place in a great location. Jan 11, 2009
The Inn-Daewon Guest House was listed in my Lonely Planet guidebook about Korea, that's why I went there. The location is very good, even if it wasn't really easy to find the guesthouse. I have to admit it took me a while as it's pretty hidden in a small side street. What's really good is that 2 minutes far away is the convinience store Family Mart where I usually bought my food. I was short of money at that time after travelling for a while around Japan and till I reached Seoul coming from the south, so I tried to bargain with the host mother. We finally agreed on a lower price, but I got a tiny room to which I got through the kitchen. It wasn't too bad though, I had even a TV there. Koreans traditionally don't sleep on beds, but on futons.
What I really liked was the courtyards with loads of plants. There were many longterm guests and after I was there my 3rd day they accepted me in their group. The guesthouse mother didn't speak much English but enough to communicate about the main things. And she was really nice to everybody. In the guesthouse were different types of rooms depending on your budget. A really nice place to stay especially if you are out of money.
