Although the location was not wow and the bathroom came with trick (it should turn on the shower to work the other services). Other than those details, the rest was fine. The owner and his employees are very kind, and for two days I was. That was not so bad. I even had breakfast :)

Aunque la ubicación no fue wow y el baño venía con truco (se debía prender la ducha para que funcionen los demás servicios). Con excepción de esos detalles, lo demás estuvo bien. La dueña como sus empleados son muy gentiles, y para los dos días que estuve. No estuvo tan mal. Hasta tuve desayuno :)

There must be someplace better in this town Nov 22, 2008
We found this hostel by chance – our first choice was full and this one was right next to it. Or to be more specific, our first choice was up a bunch of steps and this one was the next one back down the steps. It was a little sketchy but we were exhausted and took it anyway. The receptionist didn’t speak any English, which is a little surprising considering how touristy this town is.

Our room had 4 single beds and a bathroom. The water in the bathroom was turned off – we didn’t know we had to turn the red lever on the wall to turn the water on. Then we saw why the water was turned off – the toilet runs. And there was a turd in our toilet. Yeah, someone dropped a load and didn’t flush. That was a little gross. Definitely made us question how clean the rest of the room was…

When we checked in, the front desk person took our money and ran off somewhere to find change. She never came back. We waited for about 15 minutes and then left for dinner. When we came back, there was still no one at the front desk. We knocked on the door, wandered around, but never found anyone. We went to our room and settled in for the night. Just before lights out, the woman came back with our change. We didn’t think we’d ever see that again.

The beds weren’t overly comfortable but not horrible either. It was loud outside our room late into the night. The shower was very forceful, like bathing under a fire hose. The only nice thing was that we could hear the river rushing through the valley all night. You can manage for a night here, but I wouldn’t want to spend more than a few hours here. The cost was about $7 US per person per night so I guess you can't expect much.
