Indianapolis International Airport Reviews
Clean, spacious and Eay to go through May 08, 2011
On my just concluded trip to a Travbuddy Meet-Up in Indianapolis, Indiana, I landed at Indianapolis International Airport. My first impressions was 'how clean and spacious'! Located only 7 miles from downtown Indianapolis, the 3 year old airport is impressive and clean. What I particularly liked was how uncomplicated it was, simple instructions and easy access to to baggage claim and departure gates.
There is one main food court with easy bathroom locations for family, women and men. The gates are trough concourses "A" and "B" on the left and right sides and vice versa, depending on whether you are arriving or departing. The food areas are clearly marked, and the walking escalators are centrally located with a lot of room for passengers to stop on the right, or walk on faster to the left.
The huge glass windows, allow easy viewing of the runways, while allowing for lighting into the terminal without the damaging effects of the sun. Spacious seating at the departure waiting areas too. Well the airport is not as busy as Minneapolis & Saint Paul International or Chicago, so it is easy for feel at ease. Highly recommended. I have travelled through many airports, I can safely say, this is the cleanest and easiest airport I have traveled through.
PS: Do not leave for tomorrow what you can do today!
