The Glick Peace Walk May 06, 2011
The Glick Peace Walk is dedicated to prominent people who achieved greatness through peaceful pursuits in their lives. The Peace Walk includes 12 distinctive sculptural gardens that celebrate the lives and accomplishments of these people. When I was in Indianapolis sight seeing, I stumbled upon the Glick Peace Walk which is right next to the Scottish Rite Cathedral.
The Glick Peace Walk is dedicated to honor ‘luminaries,’ people of peace whose creativity, perseverance and concern for others improved life for everyone who came after them. The people of light who made prominent achievements.
Some of the people to be honored include;
7.Martin Luther King, Jr.
8.Franklin D. and Eleanor Roosevelt
11.Booker T. Washington
12.The Wright Brothers
The above list I got online. I was able to visit the 5 plaques dedicated to Presidents Benjamin Franklin, Mark Twain and Thomas Edison. This Peace Walk honors 14 people chosen by the Glick family, the memorials intended to inspire visitors to pursue their dreams and make the world a better place.
PS: Do not leave for tomorrow what you can accomplish today!
