Indian Head Overview

Indian Head is a small town located in the heart of the Saskatchewan prairies. It sits on the Trans-Canada Highway, about 70kms east of Saskatchewan's capital. This small community of approximately 1800 people is known as 'Indian Head the Beautiful', and has no problem living up to that title.

Indian Head competes annually in Communities in Bloom, so the town is very well manicured. The streets are large, clean and lined with many trees. Plentiful lilac bushes, caragana bushes and colourful flower beds add further beauty to the community's landscape.

Living up to the small-town, prairie image, Indian Head is a safe and friendly community, rich in history, with a very relaxed, peaceful, and slow-paced way of life. Many locals talk about how it is the perfect place to raise a family.

The town also boasts a hospital, schools, library, theatre, museum, golf course, outdoor pool with splash park, children's park, curling rink, indoor and outdoor skating rink, baseball diamonds, camp ground, historical sites, many churches, restaurants, banks, grocery stores, drug store, and other retail stores.
