After that we came up to the palace and we bought tickets to the Silver collection, Sissy museum, and the Imperial Apartments which we were really excited for. To get to the Imperial Apartments (which is what we really wanted to see) you first go through the Silver collection and then through the Sissy Museum. We were looking forward to the sissy museum but not so much… Forks and plates coming out the ying-yang!

After the silver collection we headed to the Sisi Museum and Imperial Apartments ( Kaiserappartements ).   This turned out to be another interesting visit.   I was surprised to see that the Sisi museum is so dark ��" mostly painted a dark deep blue.   Again, her reality has little to do with the cinema version and the melancholy… Secession building, Karlsplatz, Hofburg and more

  I spent the afternoon at the Hofburg Palace, where they have the Imperial Silver Collection / Sisi Museum / Imperial Apartments.  I'm generally not too excited by silver & china displays as they're usually cobbled together from what hasn't been smashed/melted/traded over the years.  This collection, however, was seriously impressive: silver banquet settings comprised of thousands of pieces - plates… classical music extravaganza (encore)

…could buy one ticket for 5 attractions, the so-called Sissi ticket, which gave access to the Silver collection, Sissi-museum, the Imperial Apartments, Furniture museum (but we haven't been there) and Schloss Schönbrunn. They also had an audio tour included, which was nice. But personally, especially with the silver collection, it could get a bit too much. As said, we started with the Silver… The Hofburg and The Natural History Museum
