We left the Olbrich Botanical Gardens outside of Madison WI and on our way home we had asked the staff what was the best eatery in the area. Immediately two places had come to mind and we had to choose which one. We could have chosen Bunkey's or Imperial Garden. Bunkey's would not be open until 5pm and it was barely 4pm so we drove to the other side of Madison and found our way on University Ave to an amazing restaurant and Asian Market right beside it. Imperial Garden was on the corner of Allen Blvd and University Ave. We were recommended to get the Cashew Shrimp, but decided on the Governors Chicken and the Moo Shu Pork. What great pancakes for the Moo Shu Pork that they make from scratch, they are not the traditional egg roll wrappers. We also started our meal with the Three Delight with sizzling rice. I had never had it before but Mom and Rick had it before. It had chicken, shrimp and scallops and snow peas, water chestnuts and sizzling rice in it. It was sooo delicious. We also had Jasmine tea. What a great meal, what a great day. We drove 2 1/2 hours from Waukegan to eat there after we had enjoyed the Botanical Gardens.
