Ok l really shouldnt be telling you about this place - now its going to get overrun with people! At least twice a month we visit for breakfast or lunch (depending on when we get out of bed!) LA CUISINE Deli/Cafe on Antrim Road, Belfast.

This littel gem is AMAZING - home cooked food, cooked on site & with a deli next door so you can buy the food and take it home also.

The cafe is not large - maybe around 20 tables (smallest table usually seating 4 people) so at certain times expect to queue. Even if you do queue it never seems like a long wait - you will be given a menu so that when you get to your table you are able to make your choices!

The menu runs with standards which are on week to week - fry ups, lasange, sandwiches etc, but every week there is a new list of specials - say around 10 choices from all poultry, fish, meat and veggie options.

Each portion size is huge, is served with side orders (the potatoe wedges deserve a special mention!) and a huge side salad too!

A full range of teas, coffees and soft drinks are available to purchase.

The owners activity support local artists and their art can be found hanging around the walls for customers to gaze at and should they wish purchase!

Costs are average l think - a meal for 2 will set you back no more than £15-20.

It only opens Monday to Saturday - 9am - 3pm.

These nice little places are the main reason for us to go thru the reviews. They let us in on the choice secrets of the locals. :)
