IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
Walt Disney World, Florida
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth Walt Disney World Reviews
Nice way to end an Epcot day Mar 14, 2013
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is a nighttime show in Epcot, shown in the World Showcase Lagoon. While an enjoyable show in itself, mainly for the special effects and fireworks display, it may not be on par with other Disney shows. But it is a nice way to end a full day at Epcot.
The story of the show, is about the history of Earth, told in 3 acts. They are…
Act 1 – Chaos – explosions and fireworks, representing the creation of Earth
Act 2 – Order – a globe appears and moves into the center of the lagoon, with LED screens on the continents, showing images about Earth, like nature, landmarks, and people.
Act 3 – Meaning – the globe opens with a torch inside, representing hope for the future. This is the finale.
As the show is happening, there is a laser show, and buildings around the World Showcase will lit up along the way.
Get there early if you want to get a good spot. I don’t have a favorite spot, since I tend to get there shortly before the show begins. With the majority of visitors at the World Showcase, Future World feels more like a ghost town.
Subject to cancellation due to bad weather, as it is held outdoors. Check the Times Guide for showtimes, but there is only 1 show per night.
Included in park admission!
