Ille Cave and Hill Jan 16, 2013
I knew that it exists somewhere on the road, but exact location is not marked by any sign. Coming to one concrete bridge (rarity in this area) I stopped just before bus station where two old men were having their conversation. After a bit of chitchat, I asked them about the cave and they said that it is just around the corner, or curve… As soon as you pass the concrete bridge on the way to New Ibajay, turn left and follow the river until you come to the little grass patch usually populated with one brown cow. If you go further, you’ll fall in the hole. Anyway, after leaving your bike, follow the path till you get to the guards cottage. It is actually one guy with his wife and 5 barking dogs. Guy is incredibly nice and he will take you to the top of the rock where the cave is. Price for entering the cave is 100Php but I have him 200Php for being just extraordinary in every way.

Cave is a bit short and features colony of small baths, and beautiful natural designs on the walls. Archeologists found evidence of the people living in the cave and artifacts and bones are taken away from this place. There were Exit of the cave will take you to the 1/3 of the rock/hill, and that is where real adventure starts. Climbing to the top is not for people that are not athletic or not sure in their abilities. It is actually not the going up that is problematic, but going down on the sharp and high rocks is not easy at all. Top of the rock is absolutely beautiful with amazing vistas of rice fields, bays of Palawan east cost and green hills covering the horizon.
Road is a bit rustic
