Iligan Vacation Guide

The City of Iligan is a highly urbanized city in the province of Lanao del Norte, Philippines, approximately 795 kilometers southeast of Manila. It has a population of over 380,000 in close to 60,000 households. To the north of Iligan is the municipality of Lugait, Misamis Oriental; to the south, the municipalities of Baloi, Linamon and Tagoloan of Lanao del Norte; to the east, the territories of Lanao del Sur and Bukidnon; and to the west, Iligan Bay.

Often refered to as the City of Majestic Waterfalls, there are over 20 waterfalls in and around Iligan, one of which is the grand Maria Cristina Falls, source of Mindanao's primary hydroelectric power, and Limunsudan Falls.

The climate is consistent year around since Iligan is outside the typhoon belt, with an average temperature of just 22°C and average rainfall of 109 mm/month.
