Ile de Ray, La Rochelle, France - Ile de Re - TravBuddy

I visited the Ile de Ray which translates to White Island Bathed with Light one summer when I was touring France, It is a small Island, dropped into the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of France, you can drive to it from La Rochelle as there is a 3KM toll bridge. Once I got there I headed for the beach, it was so amazing, so bright with fantastic atlantic rollers, great for surfers! It is definatly worth a visit even if you lie on the beach all day, it was quite busy but also so peaceful at the same, when we headed back to la Rochelle there was plenty of places to eat, drink and be merry!
