An Italian Restaurant facing the Ocean Aug 21, 2008
My friend had invited me to join her together with her friends for dinner on Wednesday.
Place is in Santa Monica and it's between Colorado and Broadway street, it's across the Santa Monica Pier. It's facing the ocean. It has a nice view to the ocean really. My friend had been going to the one in Manhattan Beach for years but she wanted to try the one in Santa Monica. It was my first time so i don't really know what to expect. I arrived a bit late so they've ordered calamari appetizer to start with. When our server came, i opted for the cod fish serve with tomato chunk with olive and lemon sauce plus pan fried and cut up potatoes and baby carrots, greens as a side order. My friend ordered the grilled salmon fish with vegetables and her friends had the chicken with oregano.i did enjoy my food and their dessert. My friend and i shared the creme brulee and it was so good. Price range from $25.00/person and have some good selections of wine.Though i had the cod fish i complimented it with their organic red cabernet '05.Was good, rich and earthy texture to it. This is a good place to go if you wanted to try something authentic,it's been around for over 30 years now, originally from Italy and had opened many restaurants in SoCal since then. |
