Il Casolare di Nonno Mario Gran Sasso Reviews
A nice place Oct 09, 2014
In the small village of Manoppello Scalo lies this little estate. It's a former farm house renovated for agritourism, and family runned. Signora Ida and signore Luciano take care of every guest with much kindness. We had an apartment with a double-bed room, a living room where there was a sleeping couch and an extra bed, and a large bathroom with a shower. The whole house is nicely decorated and very clean. We had breakfast included, and it was served in the former stable downstairs, which has been beautifully renovated. Both Ida and Lucian speak only Italian, but we managed to communicate.
The place is a little hard to find. Manoppello Scalo is a one-street-village, and even the gps had trouble finding the address. We ended up by the church and asked a passerby - he immediately called up Ida to tell her about us, and 5 minutes later she was there to pick us up. That's how small the village is :)
