Ikh Gazryn Chuluu Nature Reserve Reviews
A typical Flintstone landscape Aug 22, 2011
This Ikh Gazryn Chuluu Nature Reserve, located at a about a six hours drive south of Ulaanbaatar and on the northern edge of the Gobi Desert, is truly spectacular. It mainly consists of large rocks and boulders, which makes it a typical ‘Flintstone landscape’. It is a great place to do some hiking or rock climbing.
Of course, since it isn’t reachable by public transport, it is best to arrange a tour from Ulaanbaatar with a driver and a guide to get here. If you do so, chances are you’ll end up in the lovely Töv Borjiagan ger camp, which can be used as a base to explore the area.
Staff at this camp speaks English and they can help point out the best places to go.
