Iguazu Falls are often listed as one of the must do´s for South America and they did not disappoint.  We spent a couple days on both the Argentina and Brazilian sides to ensure that everyone got their fill of the positive attitude that encompasses you due to the positive ions emitted by the falling masses of water.  Iguazu is actually a collection of 275 individual falls along 3 kilometers of the Iguazu river.  The most impressive portion is the Devil´s th...

Dripping wet at Iguazu Falls

Having to finally leave our apartment in Buenos Aires we needed something to kick start our travels again, so we decided to jump on a 19 hour bus ride and headed to Puerto Iguazu at the junction of the Argentinian, Brazilian and Paraguayian borders.  The Iguazu Falls are one of the most spectacular sights that we've come across.   Wider and taller then Niagara, Iguazu is one of the largest falls in the world, and they definately lived up to it.We got the first bus and managed t...

Falling Down

Look, I can"t be bothered to go on too much about how beautiful, majestic and downright enormous Iguazu Falls are. I may well post some photos at some point so you can have a snapshot view. However, the bare bone facts are as follows: the Brazilian side is good for a panoramic view but the Argentinian side is the one to go for if you don"t have time for both. You get much closer and there is more variety in what you get to see.  The boat...

The Wonders of Argentina

What is the best country in South America? Perhaps, all of us have their own opinion concerning this subject. Someone adores carnivals in Brazil, others prefer spicy food in Chile, there are also people who don't care much about all this stuff and just try to see the best places all over the world. So, what about me? I adore nature and, perhaps, the main thing for me is to relax enjoying the harmony of this world. Such an astonishing and inspiring place is Iguazu Falls in Argentina. Of course...

The Falls, Argentinian side.

Beautiful. Just breath-taking. The Argentinian side definitely tops the Brazilian side - there are more trails and more views. There's also a dock from which boats take tourists right up to the falls. Iguacu is the longest falls in the world at ~1.5 km, while Niagara has the largest volume of water per unit time and Victoria is the tallest, I believe.
