Iglesia El Sagrario
Iglesia El Sagrario Reviews
Small but charming Iglesia El Sagrario Aug 17, 2009
This church is located behind the Cathedral and was supposed to be the main chapel of it, but now is an independent Church.
Also baroque style, with religious art including paintings, sculptures, the altar and pulpit. They also have gold pieces, not as many as in La Compania, but very neat too. Take a look at the realloy nice ceiling and the door. The gold work is really impressive and you can see angels carved there too. This church is open daily and entrance is free. When I was in Quito, wasn't allowed to visit the Cathedral which was under renovation, but since this church was supposed to be the main chapel of the Cathedral the art pieces there are similar to the ones inside the Cathedral.
