Great Steakhouse in Barstow Dec 10, 2011
Idle Spurs is a historic steak place in Barstow. It’s on the outskirts of town and kind of hidden away. It opened in the ‘50s and has been a favorite of many locals for many years. I’ve only had the steaks and they are always delicious. They are tender and flavorful. As far as the sides… the potatoes are okay, but sometimes the veggies are overcooked. Another tiff is that it's a bit pricey for the local area as well.

I’m not a fan of the old décor, but it has an inviting atmosphere and a cool garden room along with a great patio.

Not too long ago, some friends told me Adam from Man V. Food on the Travel Channel, paid a visit to the restaurant. I’m not sure if he was doing a challenge, but I think it goes to show how yummy the food here is.

**NOTE** I found the video of the Man V. Food! They are making a London broil at Idle Spurs: http://www.travelchannel.com/video/adam-makes-a-steak-stop-15823
