A cozy japanese restaurant. Famous for its tsukune (skewer) or what we call grilled skewer chicken balls. And.. of my favorites are in sequence: Avo Mayo (avocado with mayo), Okonomiyaki style, and Radish, these are just toppings of the chicken balls which makes it more delicious. One stick may vary from S$3 to S$3.50 and minimum order is two sticks. I recommend their tsukune, its one of their specialties.
It may sound odd, the name of the restaurant is "ichigo" which means strawberry. But seriously... I have not tried the strawberries here. But people come specially Japenese for the skewers.
You need to open the door to come in and close it a bit after :). Tables vary from for 2, or for 4 or for group. For group, the restaurant table for groups is like traditional Japanese table where the customer can squat. Condiments are in very cute container. Example is the chilli powder which is in a porcelain container with a small wooden spoon in it.
Aside from tsukune, their endamame is good as well.. fresh! Also try "Ebiage Orange Sauce". It is shrimps in orange sauce might come pricey, 4 pieces of shrimp (maybe tiger prawn) costs S$15 but really is delicious with a nice presentation.
