I was invited by a incentive company to go to Iceland with them and other customers in March 2008. Iceland was really high in my 'wishlist' to see. It is a very beautiful country!

Our flight out of Boston left on time and was very nice. Since we were flying Saga Class, we were the first to board the plane in Boston. We found our seat, the first two in the very front, and settled in for the 5 hour flight. We were immediately served drinks while the other passengers boarded. Once all the preflight talks were done, the plane took off for Iceland. We were served dinner on this flight as well. I hate wind.  I really do.  Reykjavik is the windiest place Ive ever been too. I wonder why they dont have windmills or wind power thingees. We went to the Blue Lagoon today.  Though I have to admit i am glad that I was warned about the fact that apparently you are meant to shower naked before going in.  If I had not known I don't think that I would have been prepared for that.  It wasn't too bad, but thank god it was only women! In a perfect world with no flight cancellations or delays, and where someone could hop from plane to plane within 15 minutes, how many countries can a person visit in the shortest possible time? Here's one possibility using July 2006 timetables.

Paul, Mirjam, Gerard and I fly and stay in Iceland for 3 days before visiting New York City. From quiet to hectic: a big contrast.

Two days before I left, I ran into the Icelandic president here in LA. He told me to bring a heavy jacket. Gee, thanks for the advice. Though he did tell me Iceland didn't need Daylight Savings, so it's a 7 hour dif instead of 8. It's 40 degrees--help me! And raining. . .
