Ibis la Part Dieu Centre Hotel Lyon

Awful hotel. Our first impression when we entered was the extremely low ceiling. Added to the fact that the room was small, it gave a feeling of claustrophobia. There wasn't the mini fridge we thought we had when we booked the room, and the supposed internet access came at a horrifying cost. Reception staff were helpful if not particularly enthusiastic. The shower room came without a door, and it wasn't easy to get the hot or cold water desired. There was only a small bottle of shampoo and some others, nothing else, nothing fancy.

Restaurant downstairs was alright, but quite expensive. The breakfast buffet did not at all show off French cuisine- it was average at best.

Its location was also difficult to find, even by car. One of the locals tried to help us find with his car but it was to no success as well. The other IBIS was better, but this one was rather inaccessible. The facade of the hotel was nice and colourful, but they could put the name of the hotel in bigger font size!

Beware of the supposed private parking space- it's not free! Better to park just outside the hotel, along the road, and not opposite the road, cuz u gotta pay for that as well.

The only saving grace is its proximity to La Part Dieu, about 10 mins walk.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for the price.
