Cheap and Good! Jun 24, 2011
This was a lovely and cheap hotel! unfortunately it was a bit far from the tube, about 20 minutes walk! But the rooms was really good and we had the most amazing view from our window. Just outside the window was Wembley stadium! Beautiful!

Then you were probably going the wrong direction, the tube is just 2 minutes walk away. Right at the next crossway on the right hand side from the hotels entrance. You can check it on google maps!

Way too suburban Dec 28, 2010
We stayed there over new years eve where all the hotels are even more expensive as they are anyway. We found a good price over the internet but the normal rates are much higher. We payed 400€ for 4 nights.

### Location ###

The location is the main problem of this hotel, cause it takes a while to reach the most sightseeing spots. The tower bridge is the only attraction nearby and it takes approx. 15minutes to walk there. The metro is just around the corner though, so thats okay.

Bars are closing very early in London and in this area you will find them rarely anyway. Theres one Pub around the corner where nobody was in, so kinda boring in the evening. Even the hotels bar closed early.

Good thing is that you find a KFC and a Tesco supermarket around. Theres also an indian street but we didnt feel comfortable there, cause anyone wants to get you in their restaurant.

The area around the hotel wasnt very clean at all.

### Restaurant ###

We only used it for breakfast and that was rich of warm and cold food. The Bar looked nice but we have never been in there cause it was closed so early.

### Room ###

Our room was okay, nothing special. It had a TV but no free internet which is weird. Almost every hotel in big cities today provide free internet access. It had some terminals in the lobby but those were not for free aswell, lol.

Then room was clean and the bath was too.

So I would recommend a hotel that is more central instead of this one, but it wasnt really bad.

Excellent hotel near Brick Lane Dec 14, 2008
As far as hotels go, there are plenty to choose from in London, but most of them are either cheap and crummy or very expensive and crummy. Sometimes however, you find one you would consider recommending to people.

Now you probably can't go very wrong with an Ibis. If you've stayed in one, you basically know what you can expect: a nice, clean room and a friendly staff. I like the Ibis. They usually keep the standard high for a budget hotel.

Same goes for the one on Commercial Street in London's East End. Conveniently located only a few yards from the Aldgate East Tube Station and a short walk from Liverpool Street Station, this massive hotel is a find in good old London town.

Rooms are your standard Ibis version, but have a watercooker, so you can make coffee or tea whenever you want. I think all hotels should have this.

Next to the lobby is the restaurant and bar, and I presume this is also where breakfast is served. I've never had breakfast there, as I do find it a bit overpriced and there are alternatives nearby.

You also have 2 pubs in the immediate vicinity and Brick Lane, aka Little India, with its many Indian restaurants is only a block or 2 away.

Sure it is not in the center of the city, but with the excellent London Underground, you're never far away, now are you? So if location is not your main concern, I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London.
