Wonderful hotel in Playa del Carmen May 10, 2008
One of the best hotels I've ever been to. This is a 5-star hotel based on an ultra-all-inclusivesystem. It's a 24 hours all-inclusivesystem. The people who work in the hotel are very friendly and helpfull. Although there aren't really any rooms aspecialy addapted to someone in a wheelchair, this hotel is very wheelchair friendly. You can get in- and out of your hotelroom with a wheelchair without a problem. The rooms are big enough, and so is the bathroom. The rest of the hotel is also very wheelchairfriendly.
It's a very clean hotel with a wonderful kitchen and an animationteam I have never seen before ! These guys are great and very professional. The drinks are brand ( no cheap stuff). The junglegarden ( actually a piece of jungle they never removed while building the hotel) is a big plus. It is beautiful. There's a big swimmingpool, A barpool ( only for adults) and a thirth pool. There are some shops in the hotel en near the hotel there's a little shop-area. It takes you about 5 minutes ( with a taxi) to get to the main shoppingstreet ( 5th street). On foot it takes you about 40 minutes ( but remember...walking this far in the heat isn't a good idea!). The hotel has 7 restaurants in total. For some you have to make a reservation before you can eat there. You can use kayaks and more ( as long as there isn't a motor on board) free of charge. You can also take a free trail-lesson scubadiving in the pool. This hotel isn't a cheap hotel, but it's worth every cent !! I wanna go back there some day. |

Delicious cocktails, a beautifull beach and luxury rooms! Dec 15, 2007
Wow, what a great hotel. The best one ever!
The complex is situated on the beautifull beacht of Playacar (Hotelzone Playa del Carmen). Between the two hotel Tucan and Quetzal is a forest with wild animals like monkeys. It's fantastic! The hotelgardens are beautifull! If you eat in the restaurants you have a fantastic view over the gardens or the sea. This resorts has 7 restaurants: a steakhouse, a Japanese restaurant, a tropical restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, an Italian restaurant and different buffet restaurants. You can choose three a la carte restaurants per week. We choose Japanese, Tropical and Mexican. The were all great! But the Japanese restaurant I like the most. It's a real tepanyaki restaurant with great food and an excellent show of the chefs. The cocktails in this hotel are all fresh and delicious. MMM I love Margaritha cocktails!!!! There are different activities if you like that. I painted real Mexican ceramic. Realy nice to do. In the hotel are a few good stores, but you can walk to the center of Playacar (10 minutes) or to Playa del Carmen (30 minutes). The rooms are very large and situated in small buildings. It's very clean and the minibar is free! We had a different towel figure every day! And somethimes we had some flowers on the bed. Part of the Mexico, Yucatan, december 2007 travel blog |

There is a very nice Tequilla store with different sorts of Tequilla in beautiful bottles. There also are nice shops with clothes and shoes.
Playa del Carmen is situated very central in Yucatan. From Playa del Carmen you can visit… Playa del Carmen |
