Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel Montego Bay
Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel Montego Bay Reviews
Great hotel, very beautiful Dec 07, 2009
This is a good hotel for your buck.
The Beach is average, a little rocky but they have a lot of lounge chairs and shaded areas for your liking. Beach volleyball is fun with the entertainment crew, but because of the rocky sand beware for diving for the ball! The entertainment staff are great, though the activities are a little cheesy, but i guess that's what you should expect going to a family resort. The adult entertainment started a little late 9:45 and considering when i went the sun set at 5pm there was a big lull of extra time of your hands to try to find something to do. Also, the shows were ok, my recommendation is to participate because they give out bottles of booze for rewards! The adventures we went on where great. We when on a day trip to mystic mountain (One of the highlights of the trip) where we did the Jamaican bob sleide and zip lining. The zip lining was a little disappointing because the lines were not long at all. Afterwards we went to Dunn's falls. It was a great experience to crime up the falls :). Another trip we went on was the market trip, where the bus takes you shopping at various shops throughout Montego Bay. We were disappointing with where we were dropped off and really did not like one of the markets they brought us too that basically only sold trickets and such. The people were way to pushy for a sell there and actually put me in a bad mood! My recommendation is to go by taxi and get a good feel for Jamaica! The staff at the hotel were all nice and courteous. The rooms were clean for the most part. Just remember to check your bed sheets because twice we notice dead bugs in the linen. Also, one day we didn't even get room services! It also made a big difference if you tip or not. The first day we arrived we tipped 5 dollars. The next day we decided to wait a day to tip and the room service definitely reflected as such (i.e. toilet paper not put into holster!). The restaurants were ok. The Japanese restaurants was an excellent experience and the food was to die for. The other two a la cards were ok, but the buffet was better. Food at the buffet was excellent!
