A excellent collection of decorative tiles Jul 30, 2011
INAX Corporation was a biggest tile company in the world. In 2011, the company was integrated to LIXIL. In 1991, Masayuki Yamamoto, a collector of ancient tile history donated his tile collections to Tokoname city. Tokoname city decided to entrust his collections to INAX Corporation. This company built a museum to exhibit the collection. The collection were the Orient, Islamic, Spanish, Dutch, English, China and Japanese decorative tiles. I was surprised to see old Japanese style ceramic toilets. When I was a child, we didn't have western style toilets. But nowadays we hardly have a chance to see Japanese style toilet in our daily life.
