IAA - Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung Frankfurt am Main Reviews
This exhibition is a must for every car lover Sep 18, 2011
The IAA Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung is one of the largest and most influential car shows in the world.
It takes place every two years (odd numbered years) in Frankfurt, Germany.
If you're into cars, this is the place to be!
There's not a single car manufacturer missing on this fair. Most car companies launch their newest models there as a world premiere.
You can see all of the production cars as well as concept cars.
The big german car brands like Mercedes, Audi or BMW have their own Pavilions, some even have a small "race track" inside, where they can actually drive the cars inside of the building.
It's quite easy to get there. From Frankfurt HBF (main railway station) you can just walk there, or take the tram (basement of the station, track 103). The tram will bring you into the center of the fairgrounds.
It's pretty big, I think it's almost all of the eleven exhibition halls. So be sure to bring enough time and comfy shoes since you will walk about 10 km ;)
Since the exhibition seems to be getting bigger every year, it's not such a good idea to go there on weekends!
It's so freaking crowded then, that you won't be able to enter some of the major attractions.
I'd still highly recommend this exhibition because there's no place you can see all the new and hot cars in one place, before they even hit the dealers! :)

IAA - Motor Show in Frankfurt Sep 25, 2011
This huge Motor Show takes place in Frankfurt am Main every two years. Since I was a little child I always visited this fair and I would recommend anyone to go there while being in Germany at this time. Its not only for people who are into cars, its interesting and entertaining for everyone.
Its every two years in autumn (September), so 2011, 2013, 2015...and so on.
The fair is very big and consists of 12 exhibition halls. The big german manufacturers like BMW, Audi and the VW-Empire have their own halls. Mercedes uses the Festhalle, which actually is a huge concert hall that is getting customized for the fair - they definitely spared no expense - awesome shows all day long!
Part of the list In and around Frankfurt
