Hydro Café Hamilton Reviews
That's what café culture is like Jan 29, 2011
Hydro Café, situated close by the Waikato River in Hamilton, is a charming, totally family-friendly little café which offers the overall package of healthy (organic) and tasty dishes, warm service and laid-back atmosphere.
There are fresh hearty dishes like the Hydro Burger with crisp bread, veggies and a whole lot of meat; lighter meals such as muesli served with a bowl of fruit and a bowl of yogurt; and sweet snacks like carrot cake, ginger slices and chocolate brownies on the menu. Besides the range of offered beverages includes hot and cold drinks of all different sorts. I highly recommend the incredible fruity berry smoothie which is delicious.
The servings sizes, also the children's dishes, are truly generous so you don't leave hungry at all.
They don't offer special vegetarian meals, but you can easily order a standard dish in your preferred vegetarian version.
What I was really impressed with was the great service. You are warmly welcomed and served quickly, and special wishes regarding your personal order aren't a problem at all.
If you are a kind of regular and the waiters and waitresses know your preferred choices you don't even have to place an official order. They just ensure you're in the mood of having the same as always.
For families, especially with young kids, high chairs and toys are available which make the visit at Hydro Café more pleasant for the little ones.
As special feature free WiFi is available at the café, that comes in handy for quite a few guests.
All in all Hydro Café is worthwhile a stop since it's a place representing New Zealand's wonderfully relaxing café culture including tasty, nicely draped, average-priced dishes and attentive service very well.
