Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa Scottsdale Reviews
Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort at Gainey Ranch Apr 29, 2008
This is a beautiful resort with a heafty price tag for a small room. The pool and grounds help to overcome the short comings of the accomedations. The food is delicious and you will be paying for every single bite. The Sunday brunch top in at a whopping $30 per adult and $15 for kids. For those of you thinking I will order a pizza and save a little money, not allowed!
Set amidst flowering cactus and breathtaking sunsets and framed against the majestic McDowell Mountains, Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort at Gainey Ranch houses 27 holes of championship golf, world-class tennis, Spa Avania, and a two-acre water playground with a white-sand beach and three-story waterslide. Native American and Environmental Learning Center combines an ongoing collaborative venture with native artists and educators with an award-winning Environmental Program. Camp Hyatt Kachina is available for children ages 3-5 and 6-12. Energized by the delicious aromas and activity coming from its open kitchen, SWB, a casual Southwestern bistro, offers wood-fired specialties featuring fresh seasonal ingredients. Relax and enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch indoors or out, set against a backdrop of the majestic McDowell Mountains. Cross over the bridge and through a courtyard to find the vibrant, convivial setting of Alto Ristorante e Bar. This comfortable Italian restaurant offers fresh and flavorful dishes with an emphasis on the season. Alto features its unique Formaggio & Salumi Cellar, a collection of Italy?s best artisanal cheeses and meats. An extensive selection of wines from around the world, with an emphasis on Italy, is cradled on two wine walls. Your evening is complete with singing servers and a gondola ride along the resort?s waterways. Room service is available 24 hours. The beauty of the Southwest is reflected in the colors and textures of luxurious 400-square-foot Scottsdale accommodations that pamper you with one king or two double Grand Beds offering plush pillows, soft sheeting, and down blankets piled upon pillow-top mattresses. Balcony or patio views of the Sonoran Desert and resort amenities like robes, newspaper, and wireless Internet access are available. Standard amenities also include a 25 inch or larger TV, coffeemaker, dual-line phones, climate control, iron and ironing board, voicemail, a hairdryer, and safe. Dive into our spectacular “water playground”’ for a refreshing and fun day in the sun. Spread over 2.5 acres of our Scottsdale AZ resort and surrounded by lush gardens, brilliantly colored flowers, whimsical stone animals and bronze statues, this desert oasis beckons one and all to jump in. 10 pools filled with sparkling waters offer a variety of experiences for guests of all ages. Kids will love zipping down the three-story waterslide emerging from the clock tower and spiraling into an 8 ½ foot deep pool. Swim through a Grecian-style Water temple to play a game of water volleyball or enjoy a Jacuzzi-style spa or cold plunge, with more than 40 waterspouts raining down gently into the pools and spas, as well as on the deck to keep sunbathers cool. Stroll along the aqueduct connecting a series of six pools and enjoy the cooling waters washing over your feet. For quieter moments in the water, we offer a 4,400 square foot adult-only pool, where swimmers can enjoy the cascading waters of the Big Gun, a 20-foot high “thunderfall” that flows through an opening in a reflecting pool down to the swimmers below, or the softer Cascades, trickling over a three-level fall. Several “pools for two” let you feel as though you are in your own private water escape. A unique highlight of our luxury resort in Scottsdale is our sand beach, the largest white sand beach in the area. Build a sand castle, then cool off in the adjacent beach pool, surrounded by 12-foot high glass crystal column fountains which are dramatically lit at night. When not in the water, guests can relax on comfortable lounge chairs under shady umbrellas while enjoying refreshments from one of our two pool bars. For added convenience, Wi-Fi service is available if needed. |
