Hyatt Regency Hotel Yogyakarta

Definitively the best hotel I've ever been in, surrounded by the tropical forest, but near the city, it has a huge swimming pool immersed in the tropical vegetation. Rooms are really nice (as the whole hotel) and the the relationship quality/price is very good.

This hotel is very good. The architecture is made as per its location in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. WIth several statue refering to the one in Borobudur, and also pond with lotus flower, remind us to most of the pond in Buddhist Monastery.

We had dinner there, in the grill restaurant. And the food was very good. Some menu was only can be taken if we are outside, because they are too smokey.

We had wines, and the collection of wines is very wide, ranging from french wine to south africa and south american wine.

The price is expensive, about 90 USD a night (expensive for Indonesian hotel standard), but the place is worthed to pay that much, being a 5 star hotel and very good service. The dinner meal was taken only 100 USD, with steak and wine. The buffet itself is not that bad, since it has different theme menu every night. On the night we were there, the theme was Javanese menu from Solo. So there are Gado-Gado (salad with peanut sauce on top of it), lamb satay (grilled lamb on a stick, covered with soy sauce and chilli), nasi liwet (rice cooked on coconut milk) etc.
