Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel Los Angeles

Stayed here for a night using Priceline, and got the room for only $100/night. The normal rate, booking through other sites, was $200.

I'd classify the hotel as a mid to high range business hotel. The rooms are clean and modern. There is a flat screen TV well situated for easy watching from bed, and, most importantly, they had HD channels for ESPN, which made it 100x more pleasurable to watch the NBA playoffs.

Our room was on the 9th floor, right by the elevator, but was relatively quiet. The only noise, really, came from the traffic on the street outside.

The location is quite good. It's close to both the 10 and 405 freeways, and within striking distance, via surface streets, of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. If you like to shop, the Century City plaza/mall is right across the street. If you like salty food, Craft, a restaurant from the host of America's Top Chef, is across the street as well.

One huge negative is the parking. $24 for self parking with no in/out privileges, or $33 for valet. One of the problems with booking on sites like Priceline or Hotwire is that they don't make the incidental fees, like parking, clear, so be wary of this if staying here.

The Westin Century Plaza Hotel & Spa is well positioned in L.A., and it has a fabulous spa and nice grounds. It is undergoing some construction across the street, which should be on their website.read entire review at TravelPost.com
