Huskisson White Sands Tourist Park Reviews
Camping and cabins on the waters edge! Oct 02, 2011
Huskisson White Sands Tourist Park is 10min drive to Booderee National Park and a 5min stroll into Huskisson village.
My friends and I stayed here for a weekend away a couple over a year ago. We originally booked a camp site, yet upon arrival, the site was right beside the tennis courts, and quite far from the toilet/shower block. We all agreed to pay a little extra and get a cabin instead. Cabins are quite small, but fit up to 5 people, and start from $90 a night in low season. Our's was set back from the beach, but had a view of bush-land. It had a TV, dvd player (you can hire dvd's from the office), fridge, oven, microwave and air con. Campsites start at $30 a night for an un-powered site. The closer your campsite or cabin is to the water, the more expensive it is going to be. But no matter where your location here, the beach is about a 2 minute walk, through locked gates (which are unlockable with your site key).
The park has a relaxed atmosphere, and there were hardly any guests whilst we stayed there, so it was very quiet. The beach was almost empty every day as well. Owners were helpful and had a good sense of humour. The parks amenities were old, but to their credit, very clean.
One downside - there were no trash bins in the park, all rubbish had to be put in the big dumpsters outside the gates of the park. Also make sure you request to clean and make up the beds each day, other wise they won't do it.
