Continue down the Ohio River to Huntington, named after the president of the C&O Railroad, who figured prominently in its development.  This depot is beautifully restored and serves as offices for CSX.  The New York Central had tracks coming this far down the river, which explains the old passenger cars (waiting for restoration?).  The fancy private rail car was Mr. Huntington's.

Bike & Build provides young adults with the opportunity to participate in a cross-country bike trip across the US to raise awareness for affordable housing. My route cycled from Virginia Beach, VA to Cannon Beach, OR (5/15/08-7/25/08). Once a week, we traded our bikes in for hammers and helped with Habitat for Humanity or another affordable housing organization. It was, by far, the greatest travel experience I have ever had.
