Great Dinners at Hotel Circle Sep 03, 2009
Looking for a great dinner? Quiet atmosphere? Friendly staff? Look no further.
I had dinner here with 4 other people. We all ordered different entrees and we all loved our food. Being a steakhouse, their specialty is, of course, steak. But their chicken and pastas are also wonderful. I had the Sun Dried Tomato Chicken, which came with 2 chicken breasts. The chicken was so tender I didn't even need a knife to cut it. All of their salad dressings are house dressings. Their salads are made at your table with the ingredients you choose. Hunter Steakhouse is able to maintain a quiet atmosphere even though it is located in the middle of hotel circle. The food and staff are great! Part of the San Diego travel blog |

I went to this restaurant my last night on my trip. If you've been to Outback Steakhouse and Black Angus, just mix the two and that's about what you'd get. It has an elegant, ski-lodge sort of ambiance with a menu that has a mix of what you would see on a Black Angus menu with some of the items having a kind of Outback Steakhouse twist to them. The food was excellent and we had great service. The prices are about average for a steak dinner. I spent about $70 (including tip) for drinks, appetizers, steak dinner, and dessert for two people. And considering the size of their steaks, I'd say this place is definitely worth the value in food, service and quality.

We were thinking about Chilis for dinner, but the bus came around a little late for that option, so we went to Hunter's Steakhouse down the street from the hotel. It struck me as kind of a Olive Garden meets Black Angus. Definitely some good food. Nicole got the BBQ ribs and I ordered the Black & Blue Ripeye. DELICIOUS!!! The steak's rubbed in Cajun… SeaWorld |
