We love the overnight trains NOT! We got to Hungary after departing on a 2.35am train that took us from Slovenia back through Croatia and into Budapest. Had to be done! After being in the mountains, returning to a big city was a bit of a shock to the system! However Budapest is such a diverse city that you are bound to find something you like! Well, I finally made it to Budapest, still surprised that I made it out of that awful train station in Bratislava alive and with all of my belongings (I think…) But after missing the train and having to wait 4 hours for the next one, I arrived really late at night with no hostel booking. Believe it or not, but Budapest is a great city.  Who woulda thunk it?  My first night there was pretty uneventful.  I was completely busted.  So, I went to sleep around 9.  The next day, I did the usual thingy: walk around and familiarise myself with the area.  That night, a bunch of us went to the craziest party I'd ever been to.  It was some place that had a dance floor and a huge heated swimming pool.  It happens just once a month and we were there …
